· GanleeFine is sterilized by ethylene oxide and wrapped individually. Do NOT use GanleeFine if the packaging is damaged.
· Do NOT reuse the needles. After being used, GanleeFine should be discarded in accordance with local regulations of waste disposal.
· Do NOT change the angle during injection; otherwise, the needle might be broken. If the needle is broken under your skin, please go to a doctor immediately.
Try to choose a short needle (4-6 mm), because usually a shorter needle is much safer and has better tolerance. The longer the needle is, the higher the risk of intramuscular injection is.
*Please follow the advice of your doctor or healthcare professional so as to determine which specification of GanleeFine® is the most suitable for you.
4 mm:
The 4 mm needle inserts the skin vertically and injects the subcutaneous tissue, the risk of intramuscular (or intradermal) injection is minimal. The 4 mm needle is the safest pen needle for adults and children, regardless of age, gender, and body mass index (BMI). Young children and very thin adults should use a 4 mm needle with a vertical pinching of the skin. For other people, there is no need to pinch the skin when using a 4 mm needle for injection. Regardless of whether the skin is pinched, the 4 mm needle should be inserted vertically.
6 mm:
Normal and obese adults do not need to pinch the skin and insert the needle vertically. For children and thin adults, they need to pinch the skin and insert the 6 mm needle vertically.
8 mm:
General body shape patients need to pinch the skin and inject at 45° or vertically, In order to ensure that insulin is injected into the subcutaneous tissue, it can also be injected at 45° without pinching the skin to increase the thickness of the subcutaneous tissue and reduce the risk of injection into the muscle.
